May Favorites (2012)

This month has been a hectic and stressful one since I finished my second year of college one week ago and it is also prom and graduation session so I've been using more products than usual.  A couple of products have been the same but some are new and have been getting a lot of use out of them.  I think the type of products I've loved this month is highlighter, as you will see later in this post.

Este mes ha sido un uno agitadora y agotadora ya que terminé mi segundo año de la universidad hace una semana y también es la época de baile de graduación y de graduaciones, así que he estado utilizando mas productos que  lo normal. Algunos de los productos son los mismos del mes pasado, pero algunos son nuevos y los he estado usando en cantidad. Creo que el tipo de producto que he estado utilizando mucho es "highligter", como se verá más adelante en esta reseña.

Beginning of Summer Haul

Slowly but surely this makeup junkie has purchased some more items during the last month and a half; and it was time to share it with you all.  Like most times it has variety but it has mostly polishes. Opps! :)

Lentamente esta adicta de maquillaje ha comprado más productos durante el último mes y medio y ya era hora de compartirlo con todos ustedes. Al igual que la mayoría de las veces tiene variedad pero obviamente la mayoría son esmaltes. Opps! :)

NOTD- Haze

Today's nail of the day features Bettina's Haze from the Nature collection.  I have been on the hunt for finding a dupe for Sinful Color's Beverly Hills which was limited edition and I haven't been successful until I came across Haze.  My favorite color is purple and a lilac polish is a must in my collection.

El "nail of the day" es Haze de Bettina de la colección Nature. He estado en la búsqueda de encontrar un esmalte parecido al Beverly Hills de Sinful Colors, que fue de edición limitada y que no he tenido éxito hasta que me encontré con Haze. Mi color favorito es violeta y un esmalte de color lila es una necesidad en mi colección.

NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny

Another day, another bronzer.  Now that Summer's here you're going to want to be paying extra attention to getting that summer glow and no I don't mean by laying out and being fried like a lobster.  An easy, healthy, and effective way to get that summer tan is by using bronzer. NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny is an excellent choice because it's matte and isn't too dark.  That being said this isn't a bronzer for all skin tones, I would recommend this for fair to medium tones.

Otro día, otro bronceador. Ahora que el verano a llegado lo mas seguro vas a querer broncearte y no estoy hablando de estar horas en el sol solo para quemarte como una langosta. Una manera fácil, saludable y efectiva para conseguir ese "tan" es con el uso de un bronceador. NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder en el color Sunny es una excelente opción porque es mate y no es demasiado oscura. Con eso dicho esto no es un bronceador para todos los tonos, yo recomendaría este para los tonos claros o medios.

Hace como 2 semanas atrás me gané un sorteo del blog Defining Faith donde ella estaba regalando el Laura Mercier Lingerie Eye and Cheek Palette, que es de edición limitada. Yo estaba tan feliz cuando me enteré de que lo gané, ya que es raro para mí ganar un sorteo o lo que sea.

NOTD- Wet Cement

Today's nail of the day is from Wet Cement by Sally Hansen from the Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear line.  I really like this line of polish since it lasts a long time and is very economic.  I had been looking for a grey color for a while and when I saw that this line of polish was having a sale, buy 2 of the polishes for $4, I snatched it.

El "nail of the day" es Wet Cement de Sally Hansen, de la línea Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear. Me gusta mucho esta línea de esmaltes, ya que tiene duran mucho tiempo y es muy económico. Yo he estado buscando un esmalte gris hace tiempo y cuando vi que esta línea de esmalte tenía una venta, compra 2 por $ 4, lo cogí sin pensar dos veces.

The Fairest of them all

Today's post is extra special not only because it was one of my makeup "gigs" but also because it was my friends and boyfriends sister's graduation.  Her name is Bianca (she has a fashion/lifestyle blog, Blanche Neve) and is one of the friendliest and funniest gals I know.  Since it was Graduation I wanted to do something subtle but special, not overdone by any means.

La entrada de hoy es muy especial no sólo porque era uno de mis "trabajos" de maquillaje, sino también porque era la graduación de la hermana de mi novio que además es mi amiga. Su nombre es Bianca (ella tiene un blog de modas y de su vida, Blanche Neve) y es una  de las chicas más amable y graciosa que conozco. Como era una graduación quería hacer algo sutil, pero especial, no exagerado.
